Pros and cons
England boss Thomas Tuchel has also given his thoughts on some individual performances tonight.
On opening goalscorer Myles Lewis-Skelly, he told ITV: "Amazing player. Amazing personality.
"He came into camp and showed straight away that it's normal to fall in love with him. It is well deserved."
The on Jude Bellingham, Tuchel continued: "No doubt he is a key player for us. Fantastic pass to assist the first goal.
"I expect special things from Jude. He is ready to take the responsibility and we have to create an environment and structure where we can see more of it."
The German then admitted he wanted to see more from Phil Foden and Marcus Rashford out wide for England.
"We hope for more impact in these positions," he said.
"More dribbling and more aggressive runs towards the box. In general, that was missing. The chances come from the little runs behind the line.
"There was a bit missing they were not as decisive as they can be."
'We have to do better'
Thomas Tuchel believes his England side weren't at their best this evening, despite a 2-0 win.
Tuchel promised attacking football and at times, the Three Lions seemed to lack some threat and tempo on the ball.
Speaking to ITV post-match, he said: "We can do better, we have to do better. We started well, we had seven/eight minutes with 100% ball possession, with a lot of passes and high energy.
"The opponent is hard to break down as they defend in a deep block. In the Euros they managed to not concede chances.
"Second half, I felt we were too slow and in general not enough runs off the ball to get behind the line."
Plenty of history
It was a record-breaking night for England at Wembley.
Myles Lewis-Skelly became the youngest-ever Three Lions player to score on his debut while Harry Kane made it three goals during three different managers' first game in charge.
On top of that, Dan Burn became the first England debutant to make 100+ passes on Opta's record.
And Jordan Henderson is also now the first player to play for England while playing for a Dutch club.
So much history was made on a winning night!
'He's fearless'
Declan Rice has piled praise on Arsenal and now England teammate Myles Lewis-Skelly after his debut goal.
The teenager scored the first goal fo the Thomas Tuchel era on his first-ever cap for the Three Lions.
Speaking about Lewis-Skelly, Rice said: “He is fearless. He does everything right off the pitch and he is only 18.
“I knew he was going to play like that tonight because of the confidence he has.
“He has kept his feet on the ground and it is only the start for him."
On Tuchel, Rice added: “Only four days training together we need to keep working and getting used to what he wants.
“To get off to a good start in the group is what we wanted.”
Potential injury blow
Look away now, Newcastle fans...
Right on the full-time whistle, Anthony Gordon went down on the touchline and looked in some pain.
The medical staff were still treating him as the whistle blew, so it's still unknown if he's okay.
Gordon has been out for a few games suspended, so to pick up an injury would be a big blow for him and the Magpies.
